For my birthday, I wanted to go to one of those succulent terrarium-building workshops with a group of friends. However, class availability was limited and classes were $85/person. (Ouch!) I decided to host my own dang workshop. It was so easy and so much fun that I'm sharing how to host your own create-a-terrarium workshop too. Keep reading to learn what to buy, how to create a terrarium that will stay alive, and download my free printable guide for your workshop guests.
WHAT TO BUY
I also created an Amazon list that includes all of these "ingredients" in one simple place. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
HOW TO SET UP YOUR WORKSHOP
You can set up your workshop any way you want, but I set the glass planter, a plastic spoon, the instructions, and the decorated spray bottle at each place setting. I used colorful bowls and trays to lay out the rest of the terrarium "ingredients."
HOW TO CREATE YOUR TERRARIUM
I did some research so that I could guide my party guests to create terrariums (that would stay alive!) and there were a few tricks I learned. Here are the instructions to build a healthy terrarium from bottom to top.
FREE PARTY GUIDE
I love designing and I'm all about the little details so I created a guide that I put at each place setting that provided these steps. I led the workshop by announcing each step, but the visual guide was useful for guests too. Download my free printable guide below. Set your printer to "fit to page" and you can print 2 guides per letter size paper. Cut in half and trim off the bottom. I accept $1 donations for the guide via Venmo or PayPal should you want to support the creation of this free resource. Click on the Venmo or PayPal button to donate. Much appreciated!
If you want custom word edits, please message me. I charge $10 via Venmo or PayPal to make edits and will send you a custom PNG file that you can print.
Have fun creating your succulent terrariums! Tag me on Instagram (@annagracestylist) if you post pictures of your workshop or your finished product. I'd love to see! Happy planting! Comments are closed.
